Woods family dog training

Woods Family Dog Training will be offering members professional gundog coaching sessions for pointers and flushers. Coaching sessions last between one to one and a half hours depending on the dog’s focus and fitness. Each dog and handler will be evaluated and then based on your training goals and your dog’s current ability, we’ll come up with a training plan.

For the best results, it’s recommended to sign up for a coaching session package. Signing up for a coaching session package allows you to schedule four sessions at a time to ensure consistency in your training. During the course of each of your sessions, the dog and handler will both learn a new skillset. In the case of obedience training, assignments will be given along with midweek check-ins to support handlers with their practice.

Walker Woods Review on Dog Training
"My dog ECKO has an excellent pedigree and the natural potential owner is there. At the same time, Walker was able to tap into ECKO's potential by steering my dog during controlled bird releases in the field. It has really paid off and ECKO now is a pleasure to hunt with and fun to watch her hunt (e.g. , grouse and woodcock and pheasants)."
Taylor Schmitz
"I would like to provide a reference for Walker Woods as a dog trainer. Walker's passion for training and developing dogs and their owners is abundantly clear from the first time you meet him. He brings a high level of enthusiasm, patience, and personal commitment to enhancing the relationship between dog and owner. Walker helped significantly in boosting confidence and drive in my dog while simultaneously strengthening my dog's poise. He is happy to answer questions, tailor training to your specific goals, and enjoys seeing dog and owner improve their skills. As someone who works in the hunting, fishing, and sporting shoots industry, I have been able to interact with countless individuals who train and work dogs. With that in mind, Walker brings unparalleled patience, energy, and insight to training. Dog training is often intimidating at first, however, Walker makes things simple and relatable. I highly recommend!"

"My name is Tom Edwards and I’d like to endorse Walker Woods for a dog trainer position with Central Penn. I’ve had bird hunting dogs for almost 40 years and Walker Woods is simply the best dog trainer I’ve worked with. He is very professional, maintains a positive approach and invites the dog owner to learn and participate in the training."
